The Meaning of Life - A Buddhist's Thoughts

I think life is meaningless, not meaningless in the terms one usually thinks of it as, not that that it's not worth living, just that it has no meaning. I think it's meant to be crazy, chaotic, happy, sad, disasterous, hilarious, sour, sweet and just plain insanity. I think it's every one of those things and more but I don't think it has a meaning. I think everyone goes out of their way and spends their time looking for its meaning when there's none there to find, but I think that if everyone knew it all had no meaning everyone would just go crazy. I think that's why there are so many religions and beliefs, so many moral codes of conduct, so many wars being fought, so many rights and wrongs; because everyone is trying to come up with their little piece of the puzzle, what their own purpose is and what all life means and everyone is willing to fight to the death to prove that their ideas and beliefs are right because they couldn't live without a meaning, they couldn't live without hope. And that is why all these problems occur and all these wars are fought but we should accept all ideas and beliefs as being somewhat plausible even if we may or may not agree with them ourselves, because we know that everyone is in the same predicament and needs something to hold on to for whatever reasons they may have, that each belief that someone has gives them a reason to live and a meaning for life. So I have to say that you must let them believe anything and everything that gives them hope because without hope they can find no reason to live and the world is lost.
